Infinite New Beginnings!

The impact of Jesus' death and resurection cannot be over-stated.  In His resurection, He makes a way for us to be redeemed to Him.  For those of us who call Him Lord, He makes us each a new creation.  Moreover, the Bible tells us He breaks the power of sin in our lives (Romans 6:5-10).  Sin's power is death, and until Christ comes again, death is expressed through time.  We all die over time.

So since Christ has undone death itself in His resurrection--since His sacrifice forgives us of all the sins we committed in the past, I propose that Christ holds power over time itself!

The point I'm driving at is that Christ not only makes us new creations, He is making us new in every moment!  Every moment of your life is an opportunity to be transformed!  Every moment of your life is a doorway you can walk through to a whole new existence!  We are ever-changing!  Ever-growing!  Every moment is the start of a new adventure!

I am starting a new adventure, too!  Countless times in my life, I have told people, "God does not give you a hobby, a skill, or a wholesome interest, and not provide an opportunity for you to use it for Him!"  I don't care if you're a stamp collector, quilter, musician, basket-ball player, or whatever!  Sooner or later, I believe God will give you an opportunity to share your faith through that gift!

So I have been laughing with God over the last few months as He has been saying to my heart, "Boy, you know you can talk.  Now it's time to get up and preach!"  After much prayer and discussion with other trusted Christians, I'm stepping forward to see what God will reveal along this leg of my life's journey!

I covet your prayers as I embrace this "New Moment" in my life.  You know I'm nowhere near perfect, so there will be lots of growth ahead!  But moreover, I extend the challenge to you:

What is God offering you in the next moment?  We are not static creatures.  What change is ahead for you?  Will you walk through the doorway of the next moment and embrace what God has in store for you?  Trust Him and take that first step!
